High Street Make Up For Under £5

Hey! So recently I haven't had loads of money to spend on new beauty products- and it can be quite tricky when you can't buy your favorite expensive products. So I thought i'd make a post about the cheap and cheerful beauty products out there that we always miss!

Lipsticks: There are quite a few lipsticks that I found to put in this category! You may have heard of MUA from superdrug, which all there products are £1 (well, they used to be, until they made palettes and stuff.) Anyway, so I was quite impressed with the pigmentation in these lipsticks as some of the shades can come out very bright! I have shade 7, which I have to say, is a bit bright for me. Its a very coraly-pink shade and It comes out really pigmented on your lips. So I will probably be buying another colour of this, but my only problem is that the actual packaging/plastic on the lipstick came off so its hard to twist it open! The next lipstick I found was from Natural Collection, and I was pretty impressed with the range of colours they have. I have Rose Petal and Berry Sorbet, but I don't think that they stay on very long. Rose Petal is a very light pink, which is very pretty-but It have snapped, which is a shame. Berry sorbet is a reddy colour, and I really like it! These lipsticks are £1.89, from Boots. The last one is NYC's Lipstick, which I bought from Discount UK, which is like a Poundland type place, but it's not all things for £1. They have a good range of make up things I have to say, as they do brands like Maybelline, Rimmel and more for less than £3! So the lipstick is In the colour MoonGlow, which is a very nude shimmery colour, and I love it! Its very subtle, but really nice. You can also buy these lipsticks from Amazon, for about  £2.99.

Mascaras: I have just started using my Miss Sporty Fabulous Lash Mascara again, and It's better than I remember it! I have the waterproof one, but I have to admit, I went swimming with it on, and I ended up with it smudged down my eyes, which was a bit annoying! But for just using it as an everyday mascara, it's not bad for only £3.49. The other one I chose, was also from Discount UK, for only £1.29, is Maybelline's Lash Stiletto Volumptuos , in Brown. Its got a very unique brush, which is like sort of in this shape: ~! I like to use it for a very natural look, because I don't usually buy brown mascaras, so it's a change for me. I also bought The Bourjois Volume Clubbing Mascara in Brown, which I was a bit disappointed in, because it's very clumpy, but It was only about £1!

thanks for reading all of this! I know its a very long post, but I got a bit carried away! -adele x

  1. Thanks for this, lots of things for me to try once I have the money! I love Miss Sporty, it's the only thing I've tried that you posted about.
Is Discount UK a website or a shop? x
